Howard has spent his entire 40-year career working with families and their businesses. Working together, they have created personalized structures and plans to accomplish both personal and business goals.  Over his career, Howard has dealt with many different aspects of tax planning and consulting including:

  • Corporate income tax planning
  • IRS examinations & disputes
  • Succession plans
  • Bankruptcy
  • Non-qualified executive plans
  • Retirement plans
  • Family business counseling

When asked what he likes the most about his work, the answer is always, “Creatively solving problems with his clients with a goal of creating a win, win solution.  Only three months of our year are reporting to Uncle Sam, the other nine are spent planning and strategizing.”

Howard graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with the highest honors and started his career with Ernst and Young.  In his off time, he is very active with his wife, three adult children, and their families, especially the six grandchildren. He and his wife, Sherrie, stay involved in their community and church. The entire family enjoys traveling, hunting, antiquing, and being together.
