The Accounting Services Senior will support all phases of engagement execution and administration for consulting and accounting services engagements. This role requires a high level of skill, knowledge and experience in abroad array of accounting and finance topics including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting and financial statement close processes. This role is highly complex and often faces ambiguous deliverables and works with complex information (or information that is not readily available). A high degree of autonomy, independent judgement and discretion is required.  Above all, client service is paramount.

Location: San Antonio, and surrounding areas, travel is required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• CPA designation or eligibility to sit for the CPA exams with a plan in place to attain CPA certification

• 3+years recent experience in a related field, preferred

• Public accounting experience desired

• Experience with financial reporting including extensive familiarity with U.S. GAAP

• Knowledge of accounting and operational matters for a variety of industries

• Knowledge of U.S. income tax, margin tax, and sales tax rules

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Delegates work to other team members

• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving-skills

• Capability to prioritize and organize workload with strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of key accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Intacct, NetSuite, and Xero

• Experience with MS Office, Advanced proficiency in MS Excel

• Travel within San Antonio and surrounding areas, required

Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of our current client base and identify opportunities for additional services

• Retain existing clients by demonstrating a client focus and sense of urgency to address client needs

• Ability to efficiently onboard clients

• Execute engagements efficiently with strong attention to detail and focus on quality

• Build relationships with clients to become a trusted member of their team

• Assist with training other team members

• Other duties as needed and assigned

Expectations:

• This role will be off-site regularly for face-to-face client meetings

• Understanding overtime requirements

• Travel requirement < 10%
