Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field

• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred

• CCP(Certified Payroll Professional), FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification), or CPS (Certified Payroll Specialist), or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional)highly desired

• 5+ years of experience administering compensation and benefits

• 3+ years of experience administering compensation and benefits at C-suite level

• Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, COBRA, Social Security and DOL requirements

• Knowledge of benefits contract language

• Ability to work proactively, independently, and in a team environment

• High degree of confidentiality

• Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Ability to lift/move 15 pounds

Responsibilities:

• Complies with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

• Ensures accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, changes to pay rates, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions

• Prepares and maintains accurate payroll records and reports

• Responsible for oversight of financials

• Reviews, monitors and ensures accuracy, compliance, and reporting

• Performs bank reconciliations, month end close, reviews entries for accuracy, and ensures items are classified correctly

• Benefits processing, enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships

• Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, regulations, and policies

• Oversees maintenance of employee benefit files

• Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions

• Assists with selection of carriers and benefits plans based on quotes, available benefits, and prior experience

• Aids in negotiations with vendors and administrators for plans, options and rates

• Creates communication tools to enhance understanding of benefits

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records

• Supports compliance efforts by ensuring HR practices align with legal and regulatory requirements

• Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required reporting

• Manages employee leave requests, ensuring proper tracking and compliance with policies

• Provides guidance to employees regarding HR related inquiries

• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

• Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation, benefits administration, and human resources

• Other duties as needed and assigned
