Akin, Doherty, Klein & Feuge, P.C. is pleased to announce the promotion of Rene Garcia, CPA to the position of Tax Partner.
Rene is a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting in 2001 and his Masters of Taxation Degree in 2003. Prior to joining ADKF in 2007, Rene worked for Clear Channel for 5 years where specialized in handling IRS controversial issues. As a new Tax Partner, he will continue to provide tax and consulting services to various industries, including: restaurant, transportation, and manufacturing. Rene and his wife have two boys and are building a house in the New Braunfels area where ADKF has an office.

Q: What is most exciting to you in becoming a Partner?
A: Client service and being able to advise more. It’s more about the people now.
Q: What is one thing you hope to accomplish in 2015 as a Partner?
A: Cultivate my own clientele.
Q: As a CPA, what types of industries do you service?
A: Restaurants, manufacturing, trucking & transport, and large family businesses.
Q: How do you like to relax and de-stress during busy season?
A: By working out. I’ve been doing CrossFit for 3 years.
Q: What piece of advice would you offer to those wanting to become a CPA?
A: Be patient and develop your craft.
