One can say being in theaccounting industry is in Dominique Lopez's blood. Her mother is a CPA and hersister is currently studying to take the CPA exam. While attending MacArthur High School, shebegan working in the administrative department as an intern for ADKF. Over thefive years she has been with ADKF, Dominique graduated high school, began herstudies at the University of Incarnate Word (UIW,) and graduated this past Maywith her Bachelor of Business Administration. With this accomplishment, Dominique moved into the Audit Department as afull-time intern. She described this opportunity as one of her proudest momentsat ADKF, a sentiment shared by her ADKF family.
Working in the administrativedepartment, she learned a lot about the different aspects of public accountingon both the tax and audit side. Decidingto specialize in audit, she is gaining new experiences daily. She has quickly learned to not be afraid toask questions. One of her favorite aspects about the job is understanding theorganizations she works with and what they do, specifically the non-profits.
When Dominique gets the chanceto relax, you can find her doing one of three things: volleyball, watching tv,or shopping! Volleyball has been herfavorite sport since childhood. At the age of 12, she went to the USAVolleyball Junior Olympics. Now, she playssand volleyball when the weather is nice.
Dominque is continuing with her studies at UIW and plans on finishing her Master's Degree this spring. We are proud of Dominique's hard work over the past few years and are glad to have her be a part of the ADKF family as she grows in experience.
