The past couple of months have been an exciting time for our team here at ADKF. We had the opportunity to participate in multiple gala’s, volunteer drives, and fundraisers for our surrounding community. Here is a summary highlighting some of the activities we participated in as a firm.
In July we had the pleasure of hosting a furniture sale as we moved offices (for the first time in 30 years!) from our old location on N New Braunfels Ave, to our current location at 9601 McAllister FWY. We decided this was a good time to spruce up the office furniture and sell every piece of the old furniture and donate the proceeds to one of our nonprofit clients, the Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL). The ADL is the largest and oldest no-kill animal shelter in San Antonio. As a firm, we were able to raise a total of $4,000 from the sale to donate to the ADL. This donation successfully provided low-income families in the San Antonio area with financial assistance for much needed medical treatments for their four-legged family members.
In October, shortly after our busy October 15th deadline passed, the firm took part in our annual United Way campaign. The United Way of San Antonio helps to unite the community and solve critical issues facing children, students, and families in our local area. We have been participating in the United Way campaign since 2015 and are proud to say we successfully hit our 100% participation goal this year. Between every employee here, ADKF raised a total of $22,000 for the campaign! We are excited and extremely proud of our team for stepping up to support the community. We at ADKF, are happy to work with the United Way, the Animal Defense League, and other various not-for-profit organizations in the San Antonio area and look forward to continuing our involvement with working for their wonderful causes.
