Sandy Landrum joined ADKF 25 years ago after being told about a job opening from her sister who worked here at the time. She started as the receptionist when the firm was only made of eight people, and now is the office manager to a staff of seventy plus. When asked what has made her stay with ADKF for so long, she said it was the family atmosphere.
When you come in on Monday there is a genuine interest in how your weekend went and how your kids are doing. When something is going on with your family, they actively try to find ways to help you out. There is real care about you and your family here” Sandy explained.
An example she gave was about her daughter, who is active in 4-H and FFA. Her daughter is busy with camps, conferences, and different rodeos, and ADKF accommodates Sandy so that she can get her work done and support her daughter.
She also shared a humorous story that occurred at work. When pregnant, Sandy would switch between driving shoes and dress shoes before walking into the office. For convenience, she also had only one style of shoes in different colors. Not paying attention one morning, and unable to look past her pregnant belly, Sandy accidentally put on one black shoe and one blue shoe. She went the whole day, and no one said anything to her.
As the firm has grown, Sandy has learned some valuable lessons over the years. Her top three are:
- Always ask questions.
- Cover all your bases.
- Take pride in your work.
Sandy is part of the foundation in the success of our firm. She is a key member and we look forward to her being a part of the ADKF family for many more years!
