We want to welcome our new Tax Senior, Jake Martinez, and our Summer Tax Intern, Ann Marie Hessbrook!
Jake graduated from The University of the Incarnate word (UIW,) with a Master's degree in accounting. He has been in public accounting for the last four years. Prior to moving to San Antonio in 2012, Jake spent time in the United States Army. In his downtime, he enjoys working out and watching sports. He also has a tw0-year-old Great Dane named Duke, which keeps him busy.
Ann Marie is currently enrolled in the Masters of Accountancy (MACY) program at The University of Texas - San Antonio (UTSA,) and will be receiving both her undergraduate and graduate degree simultaneously upon completion of the program. This is her first internship experience! She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and hopes to continue her career in her amazing hometown. Go Spurs Go! Her favorite food is seafood and she hopes to enjoy some great seafood dishes should she ever visit South Vietnam or Egypt (her dream vacations). She has a four-year old daughter, Kristina, who contributes to so much of her enjoyment of life. Any free time becomes "Kristina time" and life couldn't be more perfect. Her friends are a solid support system towards her goal to become a CPA; they quiz each other with sample exam questions daily. She is CPA track all the way!
